Job Summary
The Donor Relations Coordinator will support and develop strategies for effective stewardship of University scholarship donors. This position serves as liaison between the Georgia Southern University Foundation office, colleges/divisions, and donors to ensure that scholarships are awarded properly and that donors are stewarded properly. He/she will work collaboratively across campus community with faculty, staff, students, donors, alumni and external constituents to create an efficient and fair awarding process.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Monitor and maintain all aspects of the University Foundation's Award Management Scholarship system - includes entering in all new scholarships into the system; updating existing award amounts annually; updating review committees annually; and troubleshooting when needed.
  • Work as a liaison between the GS Foundation and the University awarding units to ensure that donor intent is met
  • Work as a liaison between the GS Foundation and the Office of Financial Aid to ensure that all awarded scholarships are applied properly
  • Create and oversee a stewardship plan for all scholarship donors, may include scholarship impact reports, videos, and other means of communication
  • Plan and execute scholarship dinners/luncheons and other events to connect students with donors.
  • Produce accurate routine and non-routine reports for Director of Donor Relations and other Advancement and University staff as required.
  • Assist Director of Donor Relations and staff with major events.
  • Participate and contribute to the team's creativity, efficiency and accomplishment of established goals.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience
  • Three or more years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
  • Three or more years of experience in higher education or customer service focused background. Detail-oriented, driven, self-motivated with strong communication or public relations skills
  • Experience with Blackbaud Award Management system

Proposed Salary
$44,400 - $52,800
