The Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech invites applications for the position of Associate Dean of Executive Education. Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Programs, the chosen candidate will oversee all Executive MBA and non-degree programs in the Scheller College of Business. Through the Huang Executive Education Center, the College delivers a portfolio of programs that includes both degree (Executive MBA) and non-degree custom and open enrollment offerings. Preferred candidates will have experience in both environments including designing, developing, marketing, managing enrollment, and administering these programs for senior and mid-level managers. The chosen candidate will also manage a staff of 14-16 professionals in the Huang Executive Education Center.
Strategically positioned at the intersection of business and technology, the 17-month Scheller Executive MBA program offers two specializations: Management of Technology, and Global Business. Both specializations share a common MBA core curriculum to develop business acumen and leadership skills. The Management of Technology specialization focuses on technology trends, emerging technologies, and managing innovation and change. The Global Business specialization focuses on the dynamics of global competition and building competitive advantage, managing the global supply chain, international finance, and strategies for global markets. The non-degree open and custom executive education programs at the Scheller College focus on leading-edge technology management topics such as innovation, technology leadership, business analytics, artificial intelligence in business and emerging technologies, and supply chain excellence.
The successful candidate must develop, manage, and support an ambitious growth strategy and outcomes in Executive MBA and non-degree programs, as well as manage operations of the office to ensure quality program design and delivery. Critical factors for success include strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build value-added long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty and staff, college and institute leadership, and corporate executives. Financial management acumen is a critical component of the role, including experience in revenue generation and cost management. At a minimum, the successful candidate will have earned an MBA or other Master's or advanced degree, and have ten years relevant experience in academia including a working knowledge of the college admissions process.
