Assistant Professor of Information and Decision Sciences

The Department of Information and Decision Sciences in the Perdue School of Business is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor. This is a tenure track position.

Area of Specialization: Information Systems, Business Analytics, Enterprise Systems

Primary Job Duties: Teach undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in the areas of specialization; normal teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Engage in active scholarship and professional development. Fulfill other duties expected of a faculty member such as student advising, service to the profession, committee assignments and utilize effective teaching methods to enhance the success of diverse learners.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD in Information Systems or a closely-related field from an AACSB accredited institution. ABD candidates who have not completed a doctoral degree by August 2021 will be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the requirement that the candidate complete the degree by August 2022. Experience or demonstrated potential as an innovative teacher with strong instructional skills in the area of specialization. Proven record of, or potential for, publication in high-quality refereed journals.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: database management, business analytics tools such as SAS and/or SAP, and programming skills such as JavaScript, R, and/or Python.
