Summary

The Director of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for the implementation and execution of a comprehensive and strategic student recruitment program that will meet or exceed established enrollment and revenue targets for new students. This individual reports directly to the Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid

 

Essential Job Functions

  1. Provide leadership in the strategic development and execution of a dynamic undergraduate search, recruitment and marketing strategy that will support the college’s strategic enrollment plan.
  2. Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly enrollment reports as well additional reports focused on strategies, progress, policies and procedures.
  3. Supervise, develop, and support admissions counseling staff and the Visit and Events Manager.
  4. Supervise creation of travel itineraries, application review, and engagement strategies for all admissions counseling staff.
  5. Recruit, interview and evaluate prospective students for admission and scholarship.
  6. Assist in cultivating existing and identifying new target markets and populations on the local, regional, national, and international levels and execute a student search program that will support student enrollment initiatives.
  7. Work collaboratively with the Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid and the Director of Financial Aid in the implementation of strategic net tuition and enrollment models.
  8. Participate in the development and assess effectiveness of recruiting materials and contact patterns in consultation with the Director of Enrollment Marketing and Vice President of Marketing and
  9. Collaborate with the Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid, Director of Student Success and Retention and Admissions staff in developing recruitment initiatives to enhance student ethnic, cultural and intellectual diversity.
  10. Assist the Academic Vice President and deans of the schools with enrollment goals and initiatives for specific academic programs.
  11. Actively participate in campus-wide activities and/or committees to promote the awareness of enrollment issues and engagement of the Admissions Office
  12. Partner with internal constituencies as well as within professional organizations (e.g. NHCUC, NEACAC, LRISCCA, AACRAO, NACAC).
  13. Engage in long-term and short-term projects that further the strategic enrollment goals for the college.
  14. Continually develop and review policies and procedures for the Admissions office.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Admission and Financial Aid-including travel and attending events.

 

Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree required.
  2. Extensive experience in undergraduate admissions, ideally with transfer and/or International recruitment, preferably at a private, liberal-arts institution
  3. Demonstrated, sustained success in student recruitment, marketing, publications, and in the application of technology in support of achieving goals. Experience working with a CRM-(Target X) preferred.
  4. Strong analytics skills and experience in reporting metrics. Expertise with Microsoft Excel and extensive use of CRM (Target X/Salesforce).
  5. Extensive knowledge of using social media platforms and digital advertising in the recruitment of students.
  6. Knowledge of emerging trends and innovative enrollment management technology solutions.
  7. Familiarity with financial aid and net tuition revenue models.
  8. Flexibility to travel and participate in evening and weekend events, as needed.
  9. Exceptional communication skills, collaboration, leadership and motivational experience necessary.
