Ca’ Foscari is looking for a part time researcher in the area of History of Modern Art, capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.

The assistant professor will carry out research focus on knowledge of the authors and of the themes of the history of the discipline, as well as on the deepening of its theoretical implications, includes, with particular attention to the European area, studies on architectural and sculptural works , pictorial, of the so-called minor arts and artisanal production in the modern age, of drawing, engraving and graphics, studies also conducted with the tools of iconography and iconology, of artistic literature and sociology of art, and with reference to the history of the discipline and its epistemology.

Teaching tasks at least 60 hours consistent with the contents of the academic discipline History of Modern Art, also in English, in the three-year degree courses and possibly also in those of master's degree and courses of doctorate.

This position is at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage, whose aim is to provide students with the knowledge to develop those interpretive, critical, analytical and communication skills that are necessary to understand and navigate the complexities of life in the 21st century.
