Position Summary:

The selected candidate for this position will become a key member of the UWSMPH Division of Infectious Disease Healthcare Infection Prevention Research Program and will work closely with the program's Principal Investigator (Dr. Nasia Safdar), other program staff members and research subjects.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

At least 1 year of laboratory or research experience required.

Preferred:
Prior experience with regulatory activities (IRB and IND submissions, changes, reportable events).
Prior experience in patient contact, recruitment and consent of clinical research subjects.
Prior experience with preparing study protocols and manuals of operations.
Prior experience preparing project reports, scientific manuscripts, and/or grant proposals.

Additional Information:

Position to last 2 years. There is a possibility it may be extended if there is a need for an ongoing appointment and/or funding becomes available.

Hire will be subject to criminal background check requirements.

A period of evaluation will be required.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.
