The School of Professional and Applied Psychology, Department of Clinical Psychology at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed or license-eligible doctoral level clinical psychologist with a cognitive-behavioral orientation for a full-time (12 month) tenure track director of clinical training position, entering at the assistant/associate professor level.

This position is based at PCOM (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Working closely with the director of the PsyD program in administering the program.
• Directing clinical training for Clinical PsyD program including oversight of practicum coordinator, practice and internships.
• Teaching 9 to 12 credits in the APA-accredited PsyD program in clinical psychology.
• Mentoring dissertations, clinical supervision, advising and developing a research program with students.
• Scholarly activity in areas of specialty.
• Participation in school, program and university committee work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
*Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check. Education

• Degree in clinical psychology from an APA-accredited Program, emphasis in cognitive-behavioral training (including ACT, DBT, PST, and other), and a planned program of scholarly activity are required.

Experience

• Candidate must have a thorough understanding and commitment to teaching students being trained in a practitioner-scholar model.
• Preference will be given to individuals with specialized expertise in older adults, veterans, severe and persistent mental illness, and patients with complex and enduring personality difficulties, underserved populations, trauma, or integrative healthcare.
• Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated successful teaching and mentoring experience in a doctoral level graduate program.
• Evidence of attention and sensitivity to, and experience in working with diverse students and clientele, demonstrating cultural humility.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaborative skills.
• Potential to secure grant funding.
• Experience in clinical supervision of students.
• Experience in supervising or participating in dissertations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• Pennsylvania-licensed or license-eligible doctoral level PA and Nationally Certified School Psychologist
