Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide administrative support for the Premedical Graduate Sciences Certificate Program ( CERT ) and its director. In addition, the successful applicant will act as the administrative assistant to the Senior Associate Dean of Research and Research Training and support the administrative efforts of the Office of Research in general during peak periods.

Minimum Hiring Standards

- Must have the ability to work independently, relying on good judgment and professional skills to manage correspondence and meet deadlines;
- Familiarity with information systems, use of complex spreadsheets, word processing, and social media;
- Must have working knowledge base of biomedical terminology;
- Ability to work in a diverse environment required;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Excellent multitasking skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Writing ability that demonstrates attention to audience, tone, nuance and detail;
- Ability to work effectively while juggling several assignments simultaneously.

Preferred Hiring Standards

- Advanced computer skills;
- Familiarity with graduate education;
- Familiarity medical education.
- Bachelor’s Degree
