Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving Programs, the Development Coordinator provides functional, strategic, administrative, and project management support for the efforts of a robust, multi-channel annual giving operation. The Coordinator helps achieve fundraising goals supporting all areas of the College, including its schools, departments, programs, scholarship funds, Athletics, Club Sports, and more. The Coordinator excels at time management, moving quickly from one project to the next. The ideal candidate will want to learn about the Advancement field, or have experience within it, and have interest in developing skills in any of several growth areas including data analytics, persuasive writing, video production and editing, gift cultivation, and more.

OVERALL: Works independently on assignments that are varied and complex; maintains a high level of confidentiality; handles sensitive materials relating to donor information; is the point person for receiving and responding in a timely manner to queries from constituents both internal and external through phone, email, and web-based forms.

DATA INPUTS: Organizes, manages and produces constituent lists and data in EveryAction CRM. Meets with Annual Giving and other Advancement staff on per-project basis, to hear what type of list is required, and to map out best options. Produces lists for efforts including crowdfunding, e-appeals, volunteer fundraising, and for departments within Advancement, including Gift Planning, Alumni Engagement, and Athletics Development.

DATA OUTPUTS/REPORTING: Tracks results of all solicitation efforts and produces progress reports and analysis. Measures rate of return on direct mail appeals by weighing costs and gift revenue generated. Compiles and drafts for Director monthly Annual Giving report, with comparisons to past activity and projections going forward.

DATA HYGIENE: Coordinates data and gift flow across several platforms including iModules, GiveCampus, and EveryAction, with an eye for data hygiene. Is liaison with Advancement Services in the supporting areas of gift processing, data management and donor relations as related to Annual Giving. Is quick to identify typos or inaccuracies in constituent data so that donors enjoy top-notch customer experience.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Arranges weekly production meeting for department to help team adhere to aggressive solicitation schedule. Communicates with and provides information and documents to vendors, and proofs appeals for typos, punctuation, grammar, and to ensure constituent data and coding are correct.

FINANCE LIASISION: Responsible for preparing business and finance office documents, including check requests, purchase orders, purchase card statements and reimbursement statements.

Experience and Qualifications

Education:
REQUIRED: BA PREFERRED: N/A

Experience: 1 year of administrative experience.

Skills/Abilities: (e.g. computer skills, written & verbal skills, trades, laws, procedures technical): Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills; excellent customer service and phone etiquette; ability to handle confidential manners; demonstrated excellence in using Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, email and internet; experience working with databases-- EveryAction experience is a plus, as is iModules and/or GiveCampus experience; experience handling purchasing and ordering supplies and materials; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, and work in an organized manner; ability to work cooperatively and effectively with all members of all culturally diverse campus and alumni community; ability to work independently and as a team; understanding of and commitment to further the mission of the College.
