Tableau Developer & Administrator

Job Summary
The Tableau Developer and Administrator provides Tableau server configuration and security support as well as support for advance Tableau dashboard creation.
Key Responsibilities
Publishes Tableau documents and schedules data refreshes. Navigates Oracle databases, optimizes SQL scripts and procedures. This position also assists with design and development of Tableau dashboards, develops SQL queries, and stored procedures to extract data from the database or data warehouse. Interacts with users and Institutional Research & Analytics staff team members and understand their requirements. Provide analysis of problems and recommend solutions.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Tableau Server, data visualizations is
required.
- Working knowledge of SQL, and Oracle database is
recommended.
- Working knowledge of analytics, BI, and basic understanding of
statistics.
- Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally
diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university
policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to
safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination
policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive
university experience for each and every student, and assist in
achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of
excellence."
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related technical field and two years of related experience required.
Graduate study in computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, public or business administration, or engineering, relevant work experience in Institutional Research preferred.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $4,372 to $10,792 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for three years with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
