The Department of Chemistry and Physics at ​Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN​, is seeking to fill a ​tenure-track assistant professor​ line in ​any sub-discipline of physics ​starting in Fall 2021. The position entails teaching an introductory physics sequence, upper-level physics courses, and related labs. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Physics and a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Research (area open) appropriate to an undergraduate institution is expected. 

Saint Mary’s College is a four-year, Catholic liberal arts college for women. The current physics program established in 2016 supports a minor in physics, and majors in physics, and physics and applied mathematics. The physics program supports about ten majors a year. ​ ​ The College has a commitment to excellence in STEM education for women and seeks to prepare women, particularly those from underrepresented groups, to be leaders in the wider STEM community.
