Chief Objective of Position
To assist the Vice President for Finance and Planning/Chief Financial Officer with the day-to-day oversight of the Finance and Planning division. The division includes the following departments: Planning and Budget, Institutional Research, Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Office, Legislative Affairs, and Emergency Management.
Work Tasks
Direct and execute special projects on behalf of the Vice President for Finance and Planning/CFO.
Proactively identify immediate or impending issues and propose solutions.
Implement initiatives and identify ways to enhance operational efficiencies university-wide.
Analyze and interpret information and data, both in statistical format and narrative form.
Develop policies and procedures.
Facilitate communication among the senior staff of the division by convening regular meetings.
This position is designated as a “responsible employee” who has the authority to redress sexual violence, who has the duty to report incidents of sexual violence or other student misconduct, or who a student could reasonably believe has this authority or duty.
Develops and maintains very positive and professional customer service and/or relations within the office/department and with all constituencies to include students, faculty, staff, guests, and employees. Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude and treats everyone with dignity and respect. Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, Management, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology or in a related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with experience that equates to an advanced degree.

Extensive experience in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting complex data.
Demonstrated experience in developing and recommending policies, processes, and strategies.
