Associate Director of Professional Development
The Associate Director of Professional Development is responsible for execution of a comprehensive career development and employer relations program designed to prepare our graduate students for internships and full-time positions post-graduation. This role independently creates and builds relationships with employers. Additionally, this role will need to balance the varying career needs of the graduate students in a number of graduate programs offered. FSB offers a number of ways employers can engage with our students and faculty for recruiting purposes. This role helps to facilitate those events.
Duties include and are limited to:
- Works directly with students enrolled in graduate programs within the Farmer School of Business in one on one settings and in workshops to provide counseling related to professional development and career guidance.
- The Associate Director will develop and build partnerships with employers which lead to the hiring of our students into internships and full-time positions.
- Develops content and contributes the management of the Farmer School of Business Career Services website.
- Some travel required.
Required: Bachelor Degree in Business or Humanities and at least five years of work experience within career counseling and/or corporate recruiting. Relationship building, written and oral communications skills. Varied situations, requiring significant analysis and interpretation; problems also have multiple possible solutions. Student advising is situational based on the needs of the students. This person needs to be flexible in providing guidance to meet those needs.
This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.)
Consideration may be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree in Business or Humanities or a closely related field.
