Position Summary
Inviting applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) in the Department of Information Science in the Graduate School of Education, University at Buffalo, the State University of New York ( SUNY )
We seek an outstanding scholar with a commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to effectively deliver course content in our online master’s programs. - Teaching four classes in both fall and spring
semesters;
- Advising Information Science master’s students;
- Participating in professional activities and serving on
department, school, and university committees; and
- Contributing to the intellectual community of the Department.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in Information Science (or equivalent) at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience in any of the following areas: school
librarianship (K-12), information services for children and youth,
multicultural materials and services, and information literacy for
youth;
- A record of successful teaching of students from
underrepresented minority ( URM ) populations;
- Experience or demonstrated ability in the design and delivery
of online courses;
- Research activities related to information and URM
populations;
- A record of active engagement with the information profession
