Position will perform Deputy Head for Curriculum, Scheduling, and Advising duties for the Dean of the Faculty. Directs the activities of three divisions within the Office of Student Academic Affairs: 1) Academic Affairs and Curriculum, 2) Academic Advising and First Year Experience, and 3) Customer Service and Academic Scheduling. Assists the Associate Dean for Student Academic Affairs with the management and administration of the Integrated Curriculum Review Committee and curriculum change processes. As Deputy Head, is responsible for the institution's registrar functions (e.g., course, final exam, and classroom scheduling; records management; transcript processing; customer service) academic advising programs for undeclared and declared students and the first year experience program (e.g., academic advising curriculum, academic major selection, success strategies), and curriculum and academic affairs functions (academic program management, academic deficiency processing, curriculum management and oversight) and other duties within the Office of Student Academic Affairs, as directed. Assists in coordinating NCAA Eligibility Certification with the Athletic Department's Compliance Division to ensure compliance of USAFA's athletic program with NCAA, Mountain West Conference, and Academy rules and regulations. Participates in academic, military, airmanship, athletic, and character course curriculum development and implementation when requested. Serves on numerous boards and committees. Provides academic and administrative assistance to cadets and to faculty and staff from all mission elements.
