Position Summary:
The Manager, Collaboration and Classroom Technology Services is responsible for understanding the needs of the university and then delivering quality software, hardware and process solutions in collaboration spaces and classrooms across the University of Idaho. Through the development of relationships inside and outside the university and through the leadership of the Collaboration and Classroom Technology Services team, this position will recommend and then deliver both solutions and appropriate training that allow for academic and administrative professionals to deliver information in offices, conference rooms, classrooms, and specialty spaces.


Minimum Qualifications:
• Seven years or more of progressive experience in developing, installing and maintaining technology solutions for collaboration spaces and/or classrooms.
• Two or more years of experience team building, motivating, mentoring, training, and leading a diverse and highly technical staff.

Experience in the following:
• developing positive relationships with customers, peers, supervisors, vendors and other partners
• working in a customer service-oriented team environment to accomplish shared goals
• managing multiple complex multi-stakeholder technology projects with competing deadlines
• analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives and developing and implementing solutions to resolve the problem
• translating complex technology concepts into clear language for general audiences
• researching and composing a variety of business documents and reports
• presenting in large group, team and individual settings


Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelors or higher degree
• Direct experience in instructional technologies
• Experience with professional-grade audio-visual systems
• Experience managing a cloud-based videoconferencing system
• Experience working in collaboration space and classroom technology support in higher education
• Applicable certifications in related areas
