About the College/Department:
The Psychology Department (www.psychology.eku.edu) has 21 full-time faculty members, approximately 800 undergraduate majors and 150 graduate students, and offers four graduate programs: the Psy.D. in clinical psychology (APA-Accredited), Master’s degrees in I-O, general experimental psychology, and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). The Department offers Bachelors of Science degrees in Psychology and in Animal Studies.

The Psychology Clinic offers a variety of clinical and research opportunities with adults, children, and families, including work with individuals with autism/developmental disabilities and animal-facilitated therapy. The department has a history of collaborative research with other academic departments and community agencies. EKU serves more than 16,000 students and is located in the central Bluegrass area of Kentucky, about 25 minutes from Lexington.

Position Summary:
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, Clinical/Counseling Child Psychology, Eastern Kentucky University.

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 15, 2021. A Ph.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA, regionally accredited and internationally recognized program is strongly preferred; an ABD from such programs is the minimum requirement. The doctoral degree is required for tenure.

Teaching load may include graduate courses in our Applied Behavioral Analysis Master's program, our Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program, and undergraduate courses (e.g., Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Child Psychopathology, Behavior Therapy). Some on-line teaching is required.

While the specific area of research and clinical expertise is open, candidates will be expected to have (or become) a licensed Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Psychologist in order to supervise child assessment and therapy cases in the department's clinic. We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience with, or an interest in, applied behavioral analysis.

Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching and advising and to developing an active program of scholarship that encourages student involvement.

ABD from accredited clinical psychology program, evidence of interest in ABA, able to become Licensed Psychologist
