The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for a full time, visiting faculty position, with a start date of February 2021 or September 2021.  The position will be for one academic year, but the candidate with outstanding performance may be reappointed for up to three years .

Qualifications

A Visiting Professor's primary roles are teaching, mentoring and educational innovation, and the position may also entail some administrative work and outreach. The department offers BS, MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering and an MS degree in Mechatronics and Robotics.  We invite applicants for classroom and laboratory teaching in all areas of Mechanical Engineering, with particular emphasis on Finite Element Analysis and General Analytical Methods. You should be an excellent teacher. You should have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline and a record of industrial experience and/or teaching in these areas.
