Position Summary:

The Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator will coordinate and contribute to the development of administrative activities for DFMCH fellowship programs as outlined in the program curriculum and as required by regulatory agencies. DFMCH fellowship programs are postdoctoral continuing education programs for primary care physicians and researchers with MD, DO, PhD, or other terminal degrees. Must use fundamental knowledge of program requirements to manage administrative responsibilities for the program's fellows and serve as the primary liaison between the Program Directors, fellows, program faculty, Institutional Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office, and affiliated teaching sites concerning program matters. Performs work independently with assignments from the GME Programs Administrator, Department Administrator, or their designee, and in consultation and regular collaboration with the Program Director and the Sponsoring Institution's DIO and Director of Graduate Medical Education.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's Degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Experience working in an academic health care health education setting preferred.
- Experience with reviewing and/or maintaining budgets or financial information preferred.
- Experience with event or meeting planning and coordination preferred.
- Experience with project/program management preferred.

Preference will be given to candidate with the following:
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing methods, requirements and priorities, and to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, effectively and on time.
- History of initiative, collaboration, flexibility and personal accountability.
- Must be a self-starter and have a high degree of professionalism.
- A successful record of project administration, decision-making and problem-solving techniques, strong writing and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team- based environment.
