Position Summary:

The Contact Tracers will use a computer program and phones to call all contacts of anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 to document a symptom check, refer them for testing according to established protocols, and provide them with instructions for quarantine.

Competent in the use of a computer
Customer service skills
Effective communication skills, experience communicating in challenging situations
Experience performing accurate/efficient data entry

Experience in public health
Experience working in a call center
Experience handling confidential or sensitive information securely
Ability to work up to 40 hours a week highly preferred

License or Certificate:

None required.

Additional Information:

Successful candidates will complete a mandatory virtual Human Resources orientation in late November or December, with dates to be provided to selected candidates. Mandatory position training will be scheduled in December and January and will be virtual training. In general, training will be scheduled between the hours 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. It requires three consecutive days for two weeks. There is not a guaranteed schedule. Scheduled hours each week will be variable based on operational needs. After completion of training, staff may be scheduled to work up to 40 hours each week, including weekends.

This is a remote position - all candidates must have access to high speed internet. Candidates will need to come to campus to pick up equipment prior to the start of training.
