The University of Washington Bothell is seeking an analytical and collaborative Data Analyst. The Data Analyst is a member of the UW Bothell Information Technology Enterprise Services team and is primarily responsible for supporting the Division of Enrollment Management.

This position must develop an understanding of processes, needs, and technical systems that support the Division of Enrollment Management and communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple organizations and departments. The Data Analyst will assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions, document system and technical requirements, and build and maintain databases, data transformations, and enterprise data integrations. This position will work alongside colleagues on complementary projects and will require knowledge and skill sharing and collective problem solving.

Experiences, qualities, and skills we are seeking include a customer focused orientation; strong analytical, organization, and problem solving skills; a detail-oriented, self-starter who can work independently to meet project deadlines; and technical aptitude and the desire to continuously learn new technologies, skills, methods, and best practices.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience working with information technologies and systems analysis
• Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with database maintenance and administration (including design, development, performance, and security)
• Working knowledge of practices related to data stewardship, data modeling, and data integrity
• Experience in building and maintaining data transformations using SQL.
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication (written, verbal) with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-experts.
• Team player in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to effectively handle conflict in a respectful and positive manner

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum requirements.

Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Technosolutions Slate CRM.
• Previous Higher Ed experience.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and performance tune SQL queries, stored procedures, packages and functions.
• Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, and implementing new applications and systems

Working Conditions:
• This position requires the ability to work some evenings or weekends in support of critical systems that require 24x7x365 availability.
