Pediatric Cardiologist

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a noninvasive pediatric cardiologist with a clinical focus on inpatient cardiology and outreach in southeast Idaho. The physician will provide general pediatric cardiology care to inpatients and outpatients, managing all aspects of acute cardiology care, bringing expertise as a consultant in the cardiac intensive care unit and in other intensive and acute care units throughout the hospital.  Academic productivity is expected and supported by the division including research, quality improvement work, teaching, and advocacy.

Clinical activities will be carried out at Primary Children’s Hospital and at our outreach sites in southeast Idaho.  Inpatient responsibilities include work in a newly opened Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), a 15-bed acute care cardiac unit, as well as consulting in other units throughout the hospital.  Inpatient work is supported by advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs), cardiology fellows and pediatric residents. Outpatient responsibilities will be dedicated to our southeast Idaho outreach sites (Pocatello and Idaho Falls).

Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology, and must be able to travel to our outreach sites in southeast Idaho.  The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure Track at the academic rank at the academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.
