What We’re Looking For
Baylor University’s Student Financial Aid Office supports the Baylor community in fulfilling their academic and professional goals by providing unified, collaborative, quality services within a caring Christian community. We are seeking a full-time Associate Director of Scholarships to join our Student Financial Aid team. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Experience and understanding of financial aid scholarship programs
- An understanding of Title IV of the Higher Education Act
- Experience communicating information through the use of writing, training, and public speaking
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external contacts
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Detail oriented and ability to work independently and manage time effectively
A Bachelor’s degree, three years of relevant work experience in either financial aid or compliance, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master’s degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.

What You Will Do
- Serve as administrator for federal and state scholarship programs
- Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for all aspects of the award process
- Oversee development of scholarship program budgets; implement scholarship program policies
- Maintain a working knowledge of NCAA Division I regulations, Big 12 policy, and University policy related to financial aid processing for athletes.
- Counsel and provide information to students and parents regarding financial assistance
- Maintain knowledge of current guidelines affecting student eligibility for federal and state programs
- Continually analyze processes and submit written recommendations
- Ensure compliance with federal and state financial aid guidelines and objectives
- Establish an on-going process improvement strategy to support department
