Elmhurst University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communication with expertise in strategic communication and/or media. Appointment begins August 2021.

Main teaching responsibilities include introductory courses such as Media and Society, Introduction to Public Relations, and Media Writing as well as upper-level courses such as Case Studies in Crisis Communication, Ethics in Communication and Media and Cultural Identity. Evidence of outstanding teaching is essential. The teaching load is six courses per year. An ongoing research program or demonstration of research potential is required.

Duties also will include advising students and departmental/university service. Candidates should have a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments for a diverse student body.
