Faculty Opportunity-Psychologist

The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full time PhD Psychologist to work in the Division of Addiction Research and Treatment.

This position is for a Psychologist who will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for developing a comprehensive mental health program to identify and treat individuals with substance use disorders and co-morbid PTSD, trauma, and stress-related disorders.

The program will be located in our new reverse co-location Primary Care Clinic that is housed within our Substance Use Treatment Programs.

Primary duties will include participation in identifying and implementing screening and assessment instruments; delivering evidenced based treatments including individual and group therapies; developing clinical workflows; and evaluating patient outcomes. Provide direct clinical care to patients including diagnostic evaluations, individual and group therapy, and supervision of clinical staff and trainees. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in the Division and Addiction Research and Treatment and in other divisions within the Department of Psychiatry to develop a line of funded research related to trauma and substance use disorders in line with their background and interests.

Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, rank and tenure status is dependent on candidate's qualifications. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
