Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor (67010)
The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will contribute to a partnership in which College of Pharmacy faculty share responsibilities for clinical practice in UF Health Shands Hospital and contribute to the teaching mission of the College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, especially critical care topics; service to the College of Pharmacy, Hospital, and the pharmacy profession; scholarly activity; and maintaining a successful clinical pharmacy practice. Faculty in these positions report to the Chair of the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research with clinical reporting responsibility to the Director of Pharmacy or designee in the UF Health Shands Department of Pharmacy.
The successful applicant will have strong skills to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to adult ICU patients and foster interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize drug therapy and prevent adverse medication events. Applicants should have a PharmD degree with 2 years of post-graduate training (residency, fellowship or equivalent experience). Eligibility for Florida licensure is required. Excellent teaching and communication skills are essential. FDLE Criminal Background Check Required.
A PharmD degree, completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and a PGY-2 Critical Care Residency. Previous teaching experience, demonstrated scholarship, experience in mentoring students and/or residents, and experience working in a critical care setting are preferred.
