Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) is a learning-centered college that provides quality academic, workforce, college preparatory, student support, and community service programs that prepare and empower students for success and promote and enhance life-long learning for all communities served.

QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree in communications, public administration, public relations, marketing, or related field preferred. Five or more years of senior nonprofit/foundation management experience is required. Work experience in higher education is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to solicit major gifts. Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills. Excellent writing, editing, and public speaking skills. Ability to motivate others to work together toward a common goal. Ability to build consensus among diverse groups for the overall success of the organization and the project. Ability to produce or edit publications, including marketing materials, writing correspondence, and developing and maintaining beneficial relationships with professional colleagues in the institutional advancement field and individuals from donor communities. Impeccable judgment and integrity. Ability to manage confidential information. Strong computer skills. Creativity.

DUTIES: Support the philosophy and mission of the College. Serve as liaison to communities through contacts and support of area chambers of commerce, civic clubs, and professional organizations. Direct the annual internal and external Capital Campaigns, Planned Giving Programs, creation of endowed scholarships, and all scholarship fundraising efforts for the Foundation. Establish and maintain a donor base and donor tracking system. Plan and coordinate special events for the Foundation, such as the annual Golf Tournament, donor building dedications, special development functions, ceremonies, and donor recognition events. Responsible for communicating effectively with the Foundation Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function correctly and make informed decisions. Develop and maintain a sufficient cadre of volunteers (on and off-campus) who will assist in undertaking activities necessary for institutional advancement—public relations, alumni relations, and fundraising. Supervise the planning and coordination of special events. Supervise the coordination of the selection and awarding of Foundation scholarships. Supervise the administration of Foundation scholarship accounts. Supervise the coordination of alumni relations events, including alumni recognitions and homecoming activities. Coordinate planning and development activities related to this position with the College President. Perform all other duties necessary to accomplish the educational, administrative, and financial objectives of the College as assigned by the president.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Duties are typically performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or minimal physical effort required, but may occasionally be required to lift to 15 lbs. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Some travel is required.
