Monmouth College, a selective, private, residential liberal arts college in Illinois invites applications for a tenure-track position in Electrical Engineering to help us continue to write a new chapter in our tradition of educating students. 

In keeping with our liberal arts mission, we seek to educate engineers broadly—producing engineering graduates who are outstanding technical problem solvers, who understand culture and context, and who can communicate their ideas clearly.    Our new faculty member, working in our Department of Physics and Engineering, will help build an ABET accredited program offering a B.S.E. with emphases in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.  This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineering professor to help shape and build an innovative program in a creative way.  Our new professor will have deep interests in teaching and will continue to develop professionally in ways that support undergraduate students. We are particularly interested in increasing participation and success in engineering by underrepresented groups.  Teaching and/or industry and/or post-doctoral experience is a plus.  Rank is negotiable.  Limited startup funds available.
