Job Summary/Basic Function:

This position reports to the Director of Instructional Excellence and is responsible for:

  • collaborating with faculty to improve and enhance courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats by providing hands-on instruction assisting faculty in development of course materials, assignments, and interactive activities;
  • Training faculty in course design, online instruction, and in the effective use of the learning management system for face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction;
  • Implementing faculty professional development programming to support campus goals and objectives;
  • Fostering collaborative partnerships with instructional programs, faculty leaders, and individual instructors in the design and planning of courses, learning environments, and experiential learning.
  • Research current trends, issues, and developments with instructional design and innovative pedagogies.
  • Supports the College’s student success agenda; and
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature of level as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Instructional Design or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university;
  • At least two years of experience in instructional design or educational technology;
  • Ability to use a variety of tools and computer programs needed for the design, development, delivery, and enhancement of instruction;
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment;
  • Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution; and
  • Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration.
