Responsibilities include conducting and publishing academic research in high quality journals, generating external research funding, teaching courses in the undergraduate, master’s, and/or doctoral programs and engaging in service commensurate with the level of faculty appointment.
The Department of Marketing at the Culverhouse College of
Business at the University of Alabama invites applications for a
tenure-track Assistant Professor, effective August 16, 2021.
Primary duties include teaching marketing at the graduate and
undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results
in articles in outstanding scholarly publications, and performing
service as assigned by the Department, College, and
University.
Required Qualifications: Applications are invited from candidates
who have completed their doctorate (or expect to complete their
doctorate by August 16, 2021) in marketing or a related field from
an AACSB accredited University. In addition, all
applicants should have research and teaching experience
commensurate with appointment as an assistant professor of
marketing at a state flagship university.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching and interacting with
students at various levels as well as an established record (or
high potential) of research published in top-tier marketing
journals. Interest in or expertise to teach courses focused on
digital marketing or marketing strategy.
