Summary

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a qualified physician to provide care to the community at the Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) Pavilion for Women Center for Reproductive Psychiatry and/or outlying community sites.

Responsibilities will be assigned by the Medical Director of the TCH's Center for Reproductive Psychiatry in the Department of OB/GYN.

Candidate is responsible for applying the knowledge, skills, and perspective of a board certified psychiatrist to the services provided at The Texas Children's Center for Reproductive Psychiatry including, but not limited to, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, consultation, education, training, supervision, research, and administration.

Candidate will be responsible for the evaluation and management of assigned patients. The patient population encompasses women in all phases of their reproductive life including pre-pregnancy consultation, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause. The clinic is embedded in the Ob-Gyn department and there is robust collaboration with the generalists, MFM, REI, Fetal Surgery, and other Ob-Gyn specialties. There are ample opportunities to foster collaborations throughout the entire Texas Children’s Hospital System.

Faculty is expected to participate in the education and research mission of the College. Candidate must agree to discharge their duties and responsibilities faithfully, to abide by all rules, regulations, and policies and to devote to the performance of your duties and responsibilities the amount of time and effort for which you are employed by the College.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have an M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of an approved residency in general psychiatry, board-certified or board- eligible for certification by ABPN, and a minimum of two (2) years of post-residency work experience in related area of specialty.

Preferred: Current license to practice medicine in the State of Texas and must be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and possess knowledge of therapeutic modalities employed by team members and the assigned clinical program, and current CPR certification.
