Position Summary:

The Coordinator of Pre-College Programs coordinates pre-college programs and activities offered through Undergraduate Programs in the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB).

Reporting to the Director of Student Success and Pre-College Programs, this position works in collaboration with the director to create and manage new programs to support the WSB?s diversity and inclusion efforts. Responsibilities include managing the recruitment and review of applicants to new pre-college programs, coordinating activities, events and staff for individual programs, facilitating and evaluating events and services related to pre-college program offerings, coordinating communication to pre-college program participants, organizing and tracking program applicants in the LRM, tracking expenses and revenue, creating program documents and materials, and supporting general program operations, including the detailed and extensive pre-college compliance process with campus. The Coordinator of Pre-College Programs is expected to be an active member of the UW-Madison Pre-College Council, organized by the Office of Youth Protection and Compliance.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

2 years professional experience in a high school, Community-Based Organization, or educational environment is required. Experience working with high school or college-age students, as well as in student programming, admission, recruitment and retention is preferred.

Well qualified candidates will further possess:
- Strong administrative & organizational skills
- Outstanding interpersonal/collaboration skills
- Awareness of issues impacting low-income and first generation students, as well as students from underrepresented backgrounds
- Proficiency with Windows-based computing systems. Microsoft Office products and desktop publishing software
- Flexibility with work schedule is necessary, as some weekends and evenings are required
