Job Summary
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is seeking a Communications and Marketing Specialist to develop and implement digital marketing and communications plans and projects that support the vision, mission, goals and achievements of its educational efforts and programming.
Essential Functions
This position will be responsible for researching, creating and disseminating Extension content in the areas of agriculture, forestry and natural resources, families, and 4-H/Youth using media platforms to include (but not limited to) websites, social media, media releases, or broadcast media. This position will support the production of materials to include content/style editing, designing, photography, videography and/or news writing. Other responsibilities include facilitating on-line social networks to connect targeted audience with research-based Extension messaging; creating and using photography and video production to enhance Extension content; and participating in the evaluation of the effectiveness of communications and public relations efforts.

Salary Range: $31,300 – $52,100
Level II – Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution plus two years experience
Salary Range: $35,000 – $58,400
Level III – Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution plus four years experience
Salary Range: $39,300 – $65,500
