This position will serve as a Research Epidemiologist for the VCU Center on Society and Health ( CSH ). This person will work closely with CSH faculty staff supporting quantitative research projects. Activities will include conducting statistical analyses (e.g., multiple regression modeling, spatial analyses, weighted quantile sum regression), creating maps using GIS software, performing literature reviews, co-authoring manuscripts to be submitted to peer-reviewed journals, and grant development activities. The position is also expected to serve as the project coordinator selected grant awards.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with GIS software and conducting statistical analyses using R or SAS
- Experience working with quantitative data, and the ability collect, interpret and organize data
- Attention to details and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability and willingness to work with diverse groups
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior project coordination experience
