PERFA 132: Musical Theatre Experience

M/Tu/W/Th/Fri 6:30-10:00 pm Pacific Time — fully online

The choreographer may not be asked to attend every rehearsal.

Saint Mary's seeks an innovative choreographer for its Spring Musical Theatre Experience. This project—in lieu of the traditional “book musical”—boasts foundational workshops for students in acting, singing, writing, and dance; opportunities to perform and master original music; devise a short musical piece as led by a guest artist; and express themselves through a musical theatre dance on camera unit.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate is an accomplished professional, with a terminal degree in dance OR equivalent professional experience, and demonstrated excellence as a musical theatre choreographer for undergraduate movers of all skill levels. They will have experience with culturally diverse virtual classrooms; the ability to foster a student-centered, interactive and collaborative online learning environment; and will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate Liberal Arts education. Additional expertise in choreography for virtual environments is highly desirable.
