Job Description:

Provide advanced administrative support work to Islander Housing and Engagement Initiatives.

  • Provide advanced administrative support. Maintain office schedules, appointments, and access.
  • Administer the Housing Residency Requirement Exemption Process and facilitates the placement and removal of Housing holds.
  • Complete all purchasing, reconciliations, and other fiscal transactions for the offices.
  • Assist management in the supervision of student workers including all hiring, termination and payroll administrative functions.
  • Make arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and travel for all office employees and students.
  • Research and complete administrative requirements and technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs to support the office.
  • Assist in the development of office procedures, including complex or specialized functions. Explain, apply, interpret, and communicate policies and procedures. May monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records. Verify, process, and review forms, reports, tables, and other documents. Perform special analyses and project summaries.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment. May deliver, pick up, or receive documents, supplies, or materials.
  • Provide quality customer service to internal and external constituents over the telephone, through email, and in person.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma.
  • Four (4) years of related experience.
  • Education may be considered as substitution for the minimum experience requirement:
  • Associate's Degree & Two (2) years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.

  • $13.01- $14.91 hourly
