The Shenandoah University Division of Applied Technology is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a faculty position in Virtual Reality Design based at the Winchester campus. Depending on applicant credentials and experience, both part-time and full-time opportunities are available. Post-docs are encouraged to apply. Faculty candidates with exceptional experience and research credentials will be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor.

The primary responsibilities of this position include curriculum development, teaching, student advising, and directing special projects. Some courses may be offered online. Faculty should expect to work directly with students in the lab guiding student projects.  Depending on the type of appointment, faculty may be expected to participate in research activities as well as program, school, and university service.

Qualifications for this position include outstanding industry experience and/or an earned masters or Phd in computer science, information technology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of AR/VR related technologies, including 3D user interfaces, game engines, 360 video, photogrammetry, and other production/modeling/design tools.
