The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of French. We are seeking an interdisciplinary specialist in contemporary postcolonial French/Francophone Studies with emphasis in religious studies (for example, comparative Muslim-Jewish interactions) and sexuality studies. We are particularly interested in innovative approaches to contemporary politics, representation and lived experience. Will teach courses at the postsecondary level and conduct research in French/Francophone culture/area studies, advise students, and perform service to the university.
