The Questrom School of Business at Boston University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance. The anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2021.

We seek to add to our community of talented scholars who work in areas at the cutting edge of today’s research in financial technology or FinTech. The main area of interest is machine learning and artificial intelligence applied to finance, in topics like, for example, cryptocurrencies, blockchains in finance, robo-advising, peer-to-peer financing, privacy issues related to financial data, the wisdom of crowd and prediction markets, etc.

The Finance department believes that the cultural and social diversity of our faculty, staff, and students is vitally important to the distinction and excellence of our research and academic programs. Prospective candidates must demonstrate the ability to produce original and innovative scholarly work of the highest quality and should be able to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics or other closely related area is required. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
