Assistant Professor of Canon Law
The School of Canon Law at The Catholic University of America invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position of Assistant Professor of Canon Law to teach graduate courses in Canon Law, including Sacramental Law, General Norms, Liturgical Law, and The Teaching Office of the Church, advise students, direct, conduct and publish research in the field of canon law, serve on committees and contribute in a collegial fashion to the work of the School of Canon Law. The position requires a Doctor of Canon Law, the potential for a distinguished record of research, publication and teaching excellence at the graduate level and broad expertise in the discipline of canon law. This will include canonical practice, specialization in liturgical law, and familiarity with historical and contemporary canonical studies. Demonstration of prior research experience with Latin and Italian texts. Can be during degree program. Prior experience teaching canon law at the graduate level is preferred but not required.
