Job Description:
The position provides administrative support with responsibilities that include a broad range of duties associated with the proper operation and smooth functioning of the department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Evaluates student needs and initiates steps to find a
resolution
•Assesses nature and severity of student issues; reviews each case
to ensure compliance with College policies and procedures and
follows up with the respective department accordingly
•Reviews monthly updates from several campus departments for
inclusion in final report to the Dean, Campus President and College
President
•Drafts and assists with communications for the Campus President
and Dean on speeches and remarks
•Compiles and organizes information for reports requested by
District
•Facilitates admissions process for students
•Provides disciplinary history of students in need of clearance for
high-level security positions at the request of the U.S. Office of
the Personnel Management and other government entities
•Verifies eligibility for faculty applying for continuing
contracts, promotions and/or endowed teaching chairs
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor’s in related field and six (6) years of experience in
student services administration, teaching or other appropriate
experience; or Master’s degree and two (2) years of experience in
student services administration, teaching or other appropriate
experience
•Knowledge of spreadsheets and Microsoft Office software
applications
•Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from
customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business
community
•Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that
conform to prescribed style and format
•Ability to exercise judgment and maintain strict
confidentiality
