New Mexico State University, Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) is seeking to fill the position of Associate Director. This position will report directly to the Associate Dean for Research and AES Director to provide support and direction for the College’s research enterprise, which includes 12 Agricultural Science Centers (ASC). The position also works collaboratively with the Cooperative Extension Service (CES) and Academic Programs to enhance the tripartite mission of the College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences (ACES). The successful candidate will provide leadership and support for the scholarly activities under the purview of AES.

 

Candidates must have a terminal degree, preferably in a field represented within the College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences (ACES) or a related field, and have experience in the land-grant and research settings. The rank of Associate Professor or Professor in a tenured or tenurable track position is also required. A strong record of research productivity and success in obtaining and managing extramural funding as a principal investigator is required. Demonstrated leadership, project management abilities, and effective communication skills are desired.
