GENERAL SUMMARY

The Senior HR Business Partner provides human resources organizational support for staff and faculty and is tasked with ensuring alignment between the business operations and the HR practices and objectives. The Senior HR Business Partner provides consulting and coaching to departmental leaders and managers in order to support the business's vision, mission, and overall objectives.
The Sr. HR Business Partner is accountable for adopting, customizing and implementing HR Programs, identifying and taking action on key metrics, and developing business solutions for their area focused on improving culture, engagement and talent development. This role is responsible for managing and executing the day-to-day human resources activities for a diverse workforce for a global, emerging, fast paced and student-centered enterprise.
Additionally, this role will support multiple HR centered projects such as onboarding, enhanced tools/dashboards, and deliver training in areas such as Performance Management, Coaching, Effective Communication and other manager focused topics as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as primary point of contact for HR matters relating to employee relations issues, organizational initiatives, company-wide policies, practices and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships to partner with business, academic, and functional leaders to develop and implement programs to support business needs.
  • Aligns HR Strategy to business needs and provides feedback and solutions to HR Leadership to ensure effective delivery.
  • Analyzes and reports on KPIs and trends related to human capital in the business and uses these findings to develop strategies and solutions to issues that affect the business’s employee relations.
  • Foster a culture of performance, accountability and collaboration within levels of the employee population in a global, very complex and matrix organization.
  • Successfully implement and manage organizational programs such as performance management, training and development planning.
  • Collaborate with leaders to assess specific talent and development needs and recommend solutions.
  • Provide guidance to Talent Acquisition team to ensure appropriate workforce levels, talent gaps and development met the business’s short and long term strategies.
  • Serve as a project owner for transformational projects such as implementation of new practices, policies, training or programs.
  • Prepare HR related reports by utilizing HR related applications
  • Participate as a member of the local management team providing guidance and input to the business with an emphasis on people related actions.


  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related degree required. PHR certification preferred.
  • Qualified individuals will have 5-7 years working as an HR generalist in a global, fast paced, large organization. Fortune 500 experience, marketing support or digital/emerging technology company experience preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Successful track record influencing and working effectively in a collaborative manner with diverse teams across all levels of management in a very complex or matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working in a lean, start-up operation.
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities with a fast-paced, customer focused approach.
  • Proven ability to work at a tactical level; willingness to take a hands-on approach
  • Must have above average expertise in MS office applications and HRIS applications
