Admin Support II - School of Education/Advising
Position Category: Staff - Full-Time
Summary:
The School of Education is seeking an admin support II to perform and/or oversee a variety of associated administrative advisor support duties which require a range of skills and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Provides accurate requests for assistance and informs students, faculty and public of available department and university services. Coordinates and facilitates meetings, program functions and special events as appropriate. Performs specialized record-keeping, research projects and tasks. Composes, edits, and proofreads correspondence and reports, and prepares a range of administrative documents. Assists with department financial activities. Responsible for maintaining high quality customer service and front office administrative duties.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree and one year of experience or any combination of education and experience related to the summary of duties totaling three years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Administrative knowledge of office methods, techniques, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including advanced knowledge in creating documents, spreadsheets, manuals, and other large reports.
- Knowledge of FERPA regulations.
- Skill in the use of computers and computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and databases.
- Skill in database tracking, analysis, and management.
- Skill in the preparation of interpretation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.
- Skill to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Skill to compose and edit written materials.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and phone etiquette.
- Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.
- Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds and personalities.
- Ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
- Ability to plan and anticipate potential changes and act accordingly.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision-making under minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask during the routine course of business.
- Ability to achieve and maintain professionalism.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information at all times.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, technologies and office environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience in an administrative support role.
Physical Requirements:
This position takes place in an office setting. Includes sitting, standing, typing, talking, hearing, seeing. Must be able to life up to 25 pounds.

Pay Range: $23,565 - $29,456
