The Department of Mathematical Sciences in the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for a Teaching Faculty position starting on January 15, 2021.

Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Statistics and should be committed to excellence in both graduate and undergraduate education.The department is looking to welcome colleagues with expertise in Statistics or Stochastic Analysis who will support its graduate degree programs with a priority given to the Data Science program. Responsibilities will include teaching graduate courses in those areas, undergraduate courses in mathematics, as well as assistance with various administrative duties.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences is an internationally recognized center of excellence for research and education in contemporary mathematical sciences with a Ph.D. program in pure and applied mathematics, and master's degree programs in mathematics, applied mathematics, and in actuarial mathematics and quantitative risk. The department is hosting a cross-disciplinary program in data science offered in collaboration with other departments of the School of Engineering and Science and with the School of Business. 

Stevens Institute of Technology is a private university located in Hoboken, New Jersey.
