Assistant Professor of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics at Schreiner University welcomes applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics. This is a tenure-track faculty position available August 2021. The ideal candidate will be able to teach a variety of upper division mathematics courses, as well as lower level courses.
Typical duties for the position include teaching 12 hours per semester; service to the university through committee work, serving in positions of leadership, and/or sponsorship of student organizations; staying active in the pursuit of scholarly activity; and advising students both in pursuit of their degrees and in future career options. The typical teaching load is at least 1 upper division class per semester plus lower level courses which can include the Calculus sequence, Pre Calculus, Statistics, Business Math, and/or College Algebra.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Mathematics (or related field} or ABD with completion no later than August 2021. Teaching experience is preferred.
