Job Description Summary
The primary purpose of the Operations and Records Assistant II is to assist the Sr. Associate Director with the management of the PowerFAIDS financial aid system. The Office of Financial Assistance (OFA) has many ongoing needs that require varied systems support and assistance throughout the financial aid cycle. The O&R Assistant II manages the flow of student documents received by the OFA, which includes creating and maintaining student financial aid files, tracking incoming student application documents, and coordinating mass mailings to students and families. The position also serves as back up to the front desk Administrative Assistant in assisting with phone and email contact during high volume times within the cycle. The O&R Assistant II provides general office support with the variety of clerical activities and related tasks and is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising a staff of 5-10 student employees. Because sensitive documentation and/or information is received on daily basis, it is imperative to adhere to privacy and confidentiality related procedures in place. All documentation dropped off must be handled appropriately and kept securely. In addition, all publications, forms and correspondence should be proofread before the information is released to the general public.



Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
