Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Nanostructural and Process Simulations in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 502571), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Materials, Chemical Engineering or equivalent, with a strong background in first-principles, molecular dynamics, discrete and/or continuum fluid dynamics simulations. They should have experience in a multidisciplinary environment in association with data science and deep-learning techniques. They should demonstrate a clear understanding of hydrothermal multi-phase flow or microfluidics processes. Fluency in written and spoken English, good organizational and leadership skills, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently and self-motivation are essential. The appointee will participate in an RGC-EU funded multi-disciplinary consortium project and work on the predictive discovery of new structures for energy applications under the supervision of Professor Z.X. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
