Instructor - Criminal Justice
Full-Time, Tenure Track for January 2021
The College invites applications for a full time, tenure track, Criminal Justice faculty member, to begin in January 2021. We seek candidates who are committed to Brookdale's mission of success and academic excellence, and who desire to work in a diverse and dynamic environment. In addition to outstanding academic credentials and professional experience, candidates will bring a love of teaching, an enthusiastic desire to assist students, and an eagerness to contribute to the Brookdale community. Responsible to teach courses in Criminal Justice curriculum to include introductory and upper-level courses – five sections per semester. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the work of the department. Integrate technology into classroom instruction. Align instruction with the course goals and objectives of the department. Participate in departmental processes to include planning, curriculum development and assessment. Participate with Criminal Justice club. Foster relationships with our community criminal justice partners at the local, state and federal level. Participate in Open House and recruitment activities.
Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field. Preferred Qualifications: Three years’ experience teaching at the college level. Adjunct teaching experience accepted. Ability to teach fully online courses, certification desired. Five years practical experience working in one of the following areas: law enforcement, courts, or corrections. Established relationships with our Criminal Justice community partners at the local, state or federal level. Experience conducting assessments of course and program learning outcomes. Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities.
Annual Salary - Low to mid $60’s. This position may be staffed at the Assistant Professor level.
