The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track position starting at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin Fall 2021, with emphasis on applied mathematics, computational mathematics, and related areas. A Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a closely related field is required.

Duties will include teaching three one-semester courses per year, conducting and maintaining a strong research program, writing for publication, advising students, and participating in department governance and university service. Competitive applicants will have a distinguished research record. Application materials should include a CV, list of publications, research statement, teaching statement, and four or more letters of recommendation with one addressing teaching credentials.
